Longview Ranch's Unwavering Dedication to Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability

Longview Ranch’s addition of a small sawmill to the property has been a pivotal step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and the flourishing health of the Longview Ranch forest.

One of the key functions of our newly acquired sawmill is the efficient processing of dead or dying trees resulting from our meticulous efforts to space trees properly across Longview Ranch. Creating a well-maintained 12 - 15-foot range for trees ensures not only a healthier ecosystem but also a sustainable supply of timber for the many projects on Longview Ranch.

Research has shown that trees within this optimal 12 - 15-foot range grow up to 4 times faster than their overcrowded counterparts. This accelerated growth not only adds vitality to the Longview Ranch forest but also provides us with premium-quality timber for our construction endeavors.

Our dedication to Longview Ranch's well-being doesn't stop at spacing trees. We actively identify and remove diseased and bug-infested trees, fostering the overall health of the forest and preventing the spread of pests and diseases.

Furthermore, the revenue generated from our sawmill is thoughtfully reinvested back into Longview Ranch's forest. This financial commitment ensures the long-term sustainability of our beloved ranch for the next 100 years and beyond. By putting money back into the forest, Longview Ranch is actively contributing to its enduring health and securing a continuous supply of high-quality timber for future generations.

Longview Ranch takes immense pride in its legacy, not just in the construction of our buildings but in the meticulous care of our land. The sawmill is a shining example of Longview Ranch's unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and the rich history that defines us. We look forward to continuing this journey towards a greener, healthier future for Longview Ranch.
